Standalone Siri app to offer auto-deleting chat history

Apple is expected to unveil a redesigned Siri experience at WWDC 2026, including a new standalone Siri app powered by Apple Intelligence and Google Gemini models. The app will reportedly support conversation history, file uploads, voice chats and a ChatGPT-style interface.

Privacy is said to be a major focus, with Siri conversations processed through Apple’s private cloud servers and optional auto-delete settings similar to iMessage. Users may also be able to opt out of the Siri beta features.

According to reports, the new Siri will launch in beta with iOS 27 later this year, despite Apple’s earlier delays in delivering its AI-powered assistant upgrade.
