September will bring three new Apple software features

Although Apple unveiled its major software updates at WWDC 2026, several features are reportedly still in development and could arrive by September. These include a simplified version of the Apple Watch Ultra’s Modular Ultra watch face for other Apple Watch models, expanded Siri support for third-party AI chatbots such as Gemini and Claude through a new Extensions API, and a fully customizable Camera app in iOS 27.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has already discussed the new Siri integration system with OpenAI, Google and Anthropic, but the feature may have been delayed due to regulatory concerns, business considerations and Apple’s focus on highlighting its own Siri AI improvements. The customizable Camera app is also expected to launch later, potentially alongside the iPhone 18 Pro.
