Apple has released a new AirPods public beta firmware update that adds a long-requested feature: custom EQ controls. The update allows users with supported AirPods models to adjust bass, mids and treble directly from the iPhone Settings app.
The feature is available for AirPods models with Apple’s H2 chip, including AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4 and AirPods Max 2. The update also introduces a redesigned AirPods settings interface, improved Adaptive Audio controls, expanded GymKit support, Precision Finding for AirPods Pro 3 and Siri AI integration with compatible iPhones.
