Google appears to be working on bringing Google Wallet to iOS, with references to “Google Wallet” and “iOS” discovered in several Google apps. A dedicated iPhone app could let users manage passes, tickets and loyalty cards directly on their devices.
The biggest potential addition would be contactless payments, as Apple opened the iPhone’s NFC chip to third-party apps with iOS 18. However, Google has not confirmed a native Google Wallet app for iPhone, so it remains unclear whether the discovered code points to a full app or another iOS-related feature.
