The Galaxy S27 Ultra is now rumored to retain the 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom from the Galaxy S26 Ultra, rather than switching to the previously rumored 4x zoom system. According to Roland Quandt, the camera will use a Sony sensor, while the ultrawide camera will remain at 50MP.
The biggest camera change could come to the front, with Samsung reportedly upgrading the selfie camera from 12MP to 16MP and adding autofocus. The S27 Ultra is also expected to feature Samsung’s new M16 OLED display and, in some markets, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, with the Exynos 2700 also rumored for certain regions.
