Honor unveils MagicOS 11 with liquid glass design and smarter AI

Honor has introduced MagicOS 11, its Android 17-based operating system, featuring an iOS-inspired liquid glass design and redesigned icons, widgets and menus. Honor claims the new system delivers up to 20% faster animations than MagicOS 10, while improved architectures optimize AI processing and overall performance.

The updated Yoyo AI assistant supports more than 1,000 scenarios and integrates with over 10,000 third-party AI services in China, with the ability to handle tasks spanning up to 100 steps. Storage Space 2.0 can reportedly free up to 60GB through lossless compression, while improved connectivity enables easier file sharing with Apple, Oppo, vivo and Xiaomi devices.

MagicOS 11 will debut on the upcoming Honor Magic9 series. A public beta is already available for more than 18 devices, with additional models expected to join the testing program in October and November.
