A lawsuit claims Apple used millions of YouTube videos to train an AI model by bypassing anti-scraping protections.
The complaint centers on Apple’s research project using the Panda-70M dataset, which allegedly indexed and enabled downloading video clips for AI training. Plaintiffs say their content appears hundreds of times and are seeking class action status, damages and an injunction.
Similar lawsuits have also been filed against Amazon and OpenAI over the same dataset.
