Samsung Health users asked to share data for AI training

Samsung Health is prompting some users to consent to the use of their health data for AI training and modeling. If users decline or later withdraw consent, they will lose the ability to sync health data with their Samsung account and existing synced data may be deleted unless Samsung is legally required to keep it.

The data collected can include health and wellness information, medication records, health records and cycle tracking data. Samsung says the information will be used to improve Samsung Health algorithms and AI-powered health features. Users can revoke consent at any time through the app’s Privacy settings.
