Google has announced Gemini 4 Argon, its next-generation frontier AI model and what the company calls its most capable model to date.
Early benchmarks show strong performance across coding, cybersecurity, legal, economic and other agentic tasks. Google is currently testing Argon with a limited group focused on cybersecurity defense before expanding access to Google AI Ultra subscribers.
Google is also working to improve Argon’s resistance to misuse and attempts to reproduce its capabilities through model distillation. API pricing will be $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with a public release coming “soon.”
