Google plans to release Android 16 earlier than usual, with the first developer preview launched last November and another preview following. The first beta is expected later this month, with Beta 2 in February and Beta 3 on March 12, based on a Googler’s comment in the Android Gerrit. Beta 3 will mark Android 16’s first Platform Stability milestone, with additional testing in April and May before the stable release in Q2 2025. The update is anticipated to bring major features and improvements.
