Apple has launched the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2, featuring built-in heart rate monitoring, a first for Apple devices. Using LED optical sensors, the earbuds track heart rate and sync with apps like Peloton, Nike Run Club and Apple Health (but not Apple Fitness Plus at launch).
Other upgrades include a redesigned, lighter ear hook, improved sound quality with Adaptive EQ, and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with Transparency Mode. Battery life is now 10 hours per charge (8 with ANC), plus 35 extra hours from the case, which is 33% smaller and supports wireless charging.
Priced at $249.99, the Powerbeats Pro 2 come in Jet Black, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple and Electric Orange and ship on February 13, 2025.
