Apple’s iOS 18.4 will let EU iPhone users set a default navigation app other than Apple Maps, a long-awaited change likely driven by the EU’s Digital Markets Act. Users can choose apps like Google Maps or Waze in Settings. This update remains EU-exclusive for now, but iOS 18.4 will also allow US users to set a default translation app. Currently in beta, the update is expected to launch in early April.
