Amazon’s Audible is expanding its audiobook catalog with new AI production and translation tools. Select publishers will soon have access to an end-to-end AI system that converts written titles into audiobooks using over 100 AI-generated voices in multiple languages and accents.
Audible will offer two options: a fully managed service or a self-service toolset for publishers to control the process.
Additionally, a beta AI translation tool launching later this year will support English to Spanish, French, Italian and German, offering both text-to-text and speech-to-speech translation – preserving the original narrator’s voice and style.
