YouTube TV and Disney have settled their licensing dispute, restoring channels like ABC, ESPN, FX and Disney Channel after weeks of blackout.
Subscribers will keep their recordings, watch history and preferences, while local ABC stations are being reactivated gradually. YouTube TV is also offering a $20 credit (claimable until December 9) to affected users.
The new multi-year deal includes continued access to all Disney networks, integration of ESPN’s new streaming service (ESPN Unlimited) at no extra cost and the option to bundle Disney Plus and Hulu within YouTube TV plans.
