Apple is reportedly preparing a major Siri overhaul with a new chatbot-style assistant set to debut with iOS 27, macOS 27 and iPadOS 27. According to Bloomberg, the new Siri – codenamed Campos – will replace the current assistant and function as a standalone, ChatGPT-like app built into Apple devices.
Powered by a custom model based on Google’s Gemini, the chatbot will support natural language conversations, web searches, image generation, document analysis, summaries and deeper control across Apple apps. It can be activated by voice or button press and will support both voice and text input. Apple is expected to unveil the new Siri at WWDC 2026.
