XChat, the new standalone messaging app from X, has officially launched on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
Designed to match the latest iOS experience, XChat offers a cleaner and more focused alternative to direct messages in the main X app. It includes end-to-end encryption, no ads or tracking and features like disappearing messages, group chats and video calls.
Users can customize settings such as themes and message permissions and quickly switch back to the main X app if needed. However, there’s no CarPlay support at launch.
