Samsung may be working on a new productivity feature for One UI 9 that blocks distracting apps at the network level instead of relying only on screen-time limits. Hidden code found in Samsung’s Connectivity Labs suggests users could restrict internet access for categories like social media, games, streaming apps and browsers.
The feature also appears to include PIN protection, parental controls and a scheduled “Downtime” mode that automatically activates restrictions during set hours. While it’s still experimental and not officially confirmed for release, the system could offer a more advanced alternative to traditional focus modes on Android phones.
