Apple might replace aluminum with titanium in future iPhones

Apple may bring titanium back to future iPhone Pro models after switching the iPhone 17 Pro to aluminum. According to leaker Instant Digital, Apple is researching an improved titanium material that offers better heat dissipation while remaining lightweight.

The company reportedly sees aluminum in the iPhone 17 Pro as a compromise rather than a permanent change. Apple is also said to be exploring liquid metal technology for future devices, although mass production remains difficult.

Titanium is still expected to be used in the rumored iPhone Ultra and iPhone Air models due to its strength and durability benefits.
