Spotify is reportedly targeting a Q1 2027 launch for a new AI-powered music service that would let Premium subscribers create remixes and covers of existing songs. The optional add-on could cost an additional $4–$5 per month.
Spotify is currently negotiating licensing agreements with major record labels and trying to secure artists participation. Artists would reportedly be able to choose whether their music can be used, while royalties from AI-generated remixes would flow back to the original creators.
