United Airlines has introduced a new feature in its mobile app that shows estimated Transportation Security Administration (TSA) wait times at major US hub airports. The tool, available in the Travel section, provides updated estimates for standard security lines and TSA PreCheck, helping travelers better plan their airport arrival.
The feature is rolling out across hubs including Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York/Newark and San Francisco, and comes amid ongoing disruptions linked to a partial Department of Homeland Security shutdown affecting TSA staffing. While not eliminating delays, it aims to reduce uncertainty and help passengers avoid missing flights.
