Google is adding more AI upgrades to Gemini ahead of I/O 2026. A new “Thinking level” option is now appearing in the Gemini app, allowing users to switch between “Standard” and “Extended” reasoning modes when using Fast or Pro models. The feature is rolling out gradually and is not yet widely available.
Google is also preparing new Gemini integrations for Canva, Instacart and OpenTable. Support pages for the services are already live, suggesting the launch is close. These integrations will let users create designs, manage grocery shopping, and book restaurant reservations directly inside Gemini.
Gemini is expected to take center stage at Google I/O 2026, with Google likely to unveil new AI models and more advanced agentic features for Android devices.
