Google has introduced Gemini Intelligence, a major upgrade that goes far beyond a simple rebrand. It brings advanced AI capabilities that can automate multi-step tasks, run processes in the background, and independently interact with apps and websites on the user’s behalf. It also includes a new “Rambler” feature for Gboard, enabling more natural, unfiltered speech with filler words and even mixed languages in a single sentence.
The feature is expected to debut on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8, followed by support for the Galaxy S26 series and Pixel 10 lineup later this summer. However, availability will be highly restricted due to strict hardware requirements.
Devices must have at least 12GB of RAM, support Android’s AICore system service, and run Gemini Nano v3 or newer. Additional requirements include flagship-grade chipsets, long-term software support (up to five OS upgrades and six years of security updates), and compliance with performance and security standards such as AVF and pKVM.
In practice, this makes Gemini Intelligence an exclusive feature reserved for a small number of high-end Android devices at launch.
