Apple has filed a major lawsuit against OpenAI, accusing the company of stealing trade secrets. One key detail from the filing is that more than 400 former Apple employees are now working at OpenAI.
Apple claims these former employees may have access to confidential information and accuses OpenAI of using that knowledge to strengthen its hardware ambitions. The company also alleges that OpenAI has attempted to gain additional confidential information through employee recruitment.
Recent reports indicate that OpenAI has hired talent from several Apple teams, including former Apple Vision Pro and smart glasses project leader Paul Meade. Many of the hires reportedly come from Apple’s engineering division, highlighting growing competition between the two companies in the AI hardware space.
