Apple’s foldable iPhone could launch in September with limited supply

Apple’s first foldable iPhone is reportedly still on track for a September launch, but initial supplies could be extremely limited. Sources claim it may take three to five months for suppliers to reach Apple’s production target of around 10 million units.

Despite earlier reports that the foldable could launch exclusively in the US, new leaks suggest Apple may release it in several markets from the start, although availability will remain tight.

The phone is widely rumored to be called the iPhone Ultra, but a new leak casts doubt on that name, suggesting Apple may reserve “Ultra” for its 20th-anniversary iPhone instead.
