Google has officially unveiled the Fitbit Air, a lightweight screenless fitness tracker focused on passive health monitoring. Designed as a minimalist alternative to smartwatches, the WHOOP-style wearable has no display or buttons, weighs just 5.2g and offers up to seven days of battery life with fast charging support.
Despite its compact size, the Fitbit Air includes heart rate, SpO2, skin temperature and motion sensors, enabling sleep tracking, Afib alerts, HRV monitoring, workout detection and more through the new Google Health app and Health Coach platform. Google positions it as a companion device for the Pixel Watch 4, especially for sleep and recovery tracking.
The Fitbit Air starts at $99 with three months of Google Health Premium included, while the special edition Stephen Curry model costs $129.99. Pre-orders are open now, with availability starting May 26 through the Google Store, Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Walmart.
