ASUS has launched the Zenfone 12 Ultra, continuing its shift away from compact designs by incorporating elements from the ROG Phone 9 series. It features a 6.79-inch 144Hz LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 5,500mAh battery with 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. The triple rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with gimbal OIS, a 13MP ultrawide and a 32MP 3x telephoto lens, alongside a 32MP front camera.
The phone introduces AI-powered features like on-device Meta Llama 3 AI for summarization, call translation and advanced transcription. Other highlights include a 3.5mm jack, eSIM support and IP68 durability. However, ASUS offers only two OS upgrades and five years of security updates. Priced at €1,099 ($1,135) with a launch promo of €999 ($1,032), it comes in Sage Green, Ebony Black and Sakura White.
